Re: Best Router Ports
I just use the default router ports because they work good enough. I have pretty good speeds and range with Channel 1 for Wireless connections. I read on a Bittorennt blog that changing the port of Bittorrent to a different port can speed up download speeds because your ISP maybe slowing down your Bittorent program port speed.

Maybe using a better USB Wi-Fi adapter with an Antennae like Etekcity High Power 802.11 B/N/G 300M USB Wireless 1000mw Wifi Network Adapter with Dual Antenna would make your speed internet faster.

Re: Best Router Ports
not needed, my router use to give me good speeds but I'm noticing a bunch of new wifi devices in my area, I just need to find the right settings again.

Re: Best Router Ports
Upgrading to a Dual Band 802.11AC Router and dual band 802.11AC Wifi wireless USB adapter which uses the 2.4 GHz and 5GHz wireless signal may increase your speeds because not as many wireless routers, and Wifi wireless adapter devices uses the 5GHz signal compared to the 2.4 GHz signal which is used by many more devices.
802.11AC also has a faster signal which can reach 1Gbps and faster, and stronger signal than older wireless routers which use 802.11N and G.
