Was there anything you ever regretted in upgrading? Software or hardware?

I regret upgrading to Windows Vista since it was slower than Windows XP, and was not as stable as XP at the time.

I regretted upgrading my MP3 players to a sony once from creative, big mistake since the device wasn't as nice.
