Audio stuttering?

So on my month old windows ten high powered gaming laptop, if I have any kind of media player (on a tab like youtube or on the desktop like windows media player), things tend to glitch, stutter or lag if I do anything in the browser like loading a new webpage.

Anyone know what could be causing it?

You may need to update the sound driver software to fix the problem if there is an update for your sound driver, or it could be a software problem related to Windows 10 or the software you are using like Firefox or a music player.

High CPU and RAM usage can sometimes make audio stutter sometimes.

CPU and RAM have been low since most of the time I only have a browser, media player, and the usual AV stuff going.

I had to use a 3rd party app, but I'm getting all my drivers updated now. hopefully that will fix the issue.

Yeah it was a bad driver, lots of them actually as there was a lot to update.

I don't really like Realtek audio. I have to use an older driver because the newer driver does not support my 5.1 surround sound speakers.
