

Taiwan pop singer Stefanie Sun and Jolin Tsai are being considered by a film company to compete as car racers in film which would be the debut for both stars.
The new film is dubbed the female version of "Initial D", a 2005 movie which earned positive box office results as well as thumbs-up for pop king Jay Chow, according to a report on the news portal sina.com.
Negotiation about actresses is still underway, and the two singers have not confirmed their participation yet. But if succesful, it will be Jolin and Stephanie's first apperance in a car racing movie.
The new film will be directed by Chun-Chun Wong (黄真真) and choreographed by action master Bruce Law (罗礼贤), and will start shooting in the second half of this year. The leading actresses, once confirmed, will have to receive a series of racecar training sessions beforehand.
The film's choreographer, Bruce Law said that the choice of leading actresses had not been confirmed, but the company highly praised the potential and skill flexibility of the two popular singers.
The manager of Jolin Tsai's company, surnamed Jiang, said the singer's starring role was a not bad idea, but they had not received any formal contact from the film company.
