Do you use any type of network detection to keep an eye on your network?

I use Comodo firewall software on my Windows computer which warn me of new connections which try to access my computer, and programs which want to reach a web server on the internet.

I'm talking a bit more complex programs like Snort that actually watches all packets and such entering your network.

I used a program called Wireshark which sounds similar to what Snort does.

yep, that's another one you can use. They can be a bit useful if you really want to keep an eye on things.
