clicking on ad links

Post by Skeithex »

Do you know of anyone who often searches for something and ends up clicking on a bad ad link instead of the actual link to a website?

I think there are still many people who click ads on search engines, and websites if the link looks interesting. The links on the ad usually link to real websites. I think there is a higher chance of getting your PC infected with a virus by clicking on a link in an e-mail, and random social network profile.

Not necessarily. If you happen to search things on a non google based search engine, a lot of the first link ads are something you don't want to click.

Yahoo now uses Google search results according to https://searchengineland.com/yahoo-goog ... eal-233963 ,but other search engines may trick users into clicking malware infected websites. But, using random search engines can also be dangerous since all search results maybe fake links to trick people to scam sites.

Maybe Yahoo is using Google's older search database results, and Google's search database is updated in real-time.

that seems like an extremely cheap way of going about it.
