Mad Judge throws elderly woman's cell phone

Post by froggyboy604 »

U.S. District Court Judge William Shubb got angry when he heard a old women cell phone go off. He asked the woman to hand over her phone. Witnesses said Shubb took the women cell phone and threw it into the hallway. The judge said, "I didn't throw it; I tossed it." When the lady picked up her phone from the hallway, it was broken. Shubb also told the deputies to confiscate every cell phone in the room. He posted a sign on his courtroom door which said, "All persons are ordered to turn their cell phones off." He later said, "I regret that I had to take such severe measures."

He must have been having a bad day, or he hates being interupted in court.

^probably not, but cell phones arent allowed to be turned on in a court room, so the mad judge just took the law into his own hand and smashed her phone for breaking the no cell phone rule.

I doubt the lady or anyone ever sue the judge cuz it's just a cell phone that got damaged, and the judge will probably win the case cause he knows the laws so well.

I wonder what happened to all the confiscated cell phones that the court police confiscated after the incident of the judge smashing the ladies phone.
