Versatile entertainer Hyun Young is poised to debut in Japan by capitalizing on her shapely body.
Hyun is to release a DVD of her body-shaping techniques in Japan in spring. But prior to that she will hold a news conference at the Hotel New Otani in Tokyo to announce her debut.
A Japanese PR firm that is organizing the news conference said the event will serve as an opportunity to publicize Hyun’s unique image that stands apart from other hallyu stars due to her unique voice and beautiful body. The firm added that more than 100 journalists from NHK, TBS and other broadcasters will attend the news conference.
Hyun’s agency says Hyun’s debut in Japan will focus on her healthy image and body-shaping success, and that Hyun will also hold promotional activities and appear on television in Japan.

Singer/actor Lee Jung-hyun has been a techno-warrior, Egyptian queen, marionette doll and so much more with the release of every new album. This time, she’s morphing into an Indian gal and ready to take China by storm. The title song of her first official album to be launched in China is the Chinese song, “Love Me.” The music video, already shot and completed in Korea, shows dreamlike visuals. Korean singer BoA is singing the theme song for the movie “Inu to Watashi no 10 no Yakusoku,” it was revealed on Sunday. She previously provided “KEY OF HEART” for the Japanese dub of “Over the Hedge” (and also served as a voice actress for the film), but this is her first time doing the theme for a Japanese film.The film, directed by Katsuhide Motoki and starring Rena Tanaka, is a story about a girl’s connection with her golden retriever. It is inspired by the anonymously-authored “The Ten Commandments of Dog Ownership,” a list of rules of pet ownership as told from the dog’s perspective. A book version of the film’s script was released at the end of July and has sold more than 230,000 copies so far.
BoA is known as a dog lover, and she currently owns a poodle named Paama. She reportedly was strongly moved by the movie’s script, which resulted in the song “be with you,” though the lyrics also apply to human relationships.
No release date has been set for the single yet, but the movie opens on March 15.
