Some places have those plastic anti glare plastic over them, but it don't help much.

I notice some users also turn up the contrast and brightness of their monitors to the maximum level which may cause the monitor to break faster from the extra heat when the monitor is set to the maximum brightness.

Monitors may break more often when users people hit or shake their monitor when their computer freezes, crashes, or they have anger problems where they hit things when someone like a co-worker or boss made them mad.

ack, max brightness. My eyes couldn't take that. I set most of my monitors to a low brightness or I end up with floaters.

I also don't like max brightness because it seems to make using my computer less relaxing than using lower brightness settings.

I find a bright room with a dim monitor works best.
