Yes, I feel products and software require too much information. I heard a lot of mobile apps and websites can listen to your mic.

better question is what they don't ask, which is pretty much your social security number. Otherwise you have to fork over email, a phone number, name and I think your address.

This is a lot of information which users are giving away to Microsoft which they don't have a personal relationship with.
